In 2025, Innovit Electric has developed the Closely Related Node Technology (CNRT) to perform Selective Tripping — a new protection philosophy that retains safety while allowing each system to operate at its maximum permissible short-circuit rating. The selective tripping unit locates the fault area. Once it identifies that the short-circuit current has reached the tripping criteria, it will trip to protect the system. If the fault current limiter is not triggered by the selective tripping unit, it will remain inactive to avoid unnecessary tripping.
The core innovations of the CNRT lie in:
• Suitability for multi-scenario and complex power systems
• Intelligent multi-criteria fusion
• Millisecond-level fast response
• Capability to drive up to five quick current limiters simultaneously
• Enhanced system reliability and cost-effectiveness
As a leader in the fault current limiter industry, Innovit continues to invest and innovate, providing advanced and reliable short-circuit current limiting solutions for customers worldwide.
