Background Information:

Kuwait Oil Company (K.O.C), established in 1934, is the cornerstone of Kuwait’s oil industry. Initially established by British and Persian oil companies. Since its foundation, the company’s activities included exploration operations, onshore and offshore surveys, drilling of test wells, and the development of producing fields as well as crude and natural gas exploration. Among its core assets is the Burgan Field, one of the largest onshore oil fields in the world. After its nationalization in 1975, K.O.C became a vital pillar of Kuwait’s economy and now it is a subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (K.P.C).
